A year of tracing our roots is coming to an end. Together, the project group has conducted research, explored their family histories, and sought their artistic voices through workshops—now it’s time to share the results in an exhibition. The participants are currently putting the finishing touches on their reflections on topics such as post-migrant identity, home, and the traces left by past generations, in order to bring them to life.
For four days, the doors of the ROOTS & ROUTES Space will open for the grand closing exhibition. You can expect a wide range of photography, painting, games, audio installations, dance, music, literature, and much more. In addition to the exhibited works, there will be exciting performances and talks on stage during the opening and closing events.
Additional highlight: On Friday (June 12) and Saturday (June 13), we’ll be screening the short documentary “Ja prischlá – Ich bin angekommen” (2024) at 5:00 p.m. each day. On Saturday, there will also be a Q&A session with director Lea Hardock following the screening!
