Ever since I took part in ROOTS & ROUTES projects, I have known that I want to pursue an artistic career. I have made many contacts, some of which have developed into good friendships.
On this page you will find insights into what ROOTS & ROUTES projects look like from the inside: Photos, short films and video documentations from our international encounters and from our local projects in Cologne.
Let’s start with a photo slideshow journey through the years since the first RRCGN projects in 2014.
Have fun with it!

Ever since I took part in ROOTS & ROUTES projects, I have known that I want to pursue an artistic career. I have made many contacts, some of which have developed into good friendships.
ROOTS & ROUTES is a great way to develop new skills, gain new work experience and network with talented people across Europe.
R&R is a creative home I would like to call it, where I can connect and feel happy to meet like-minded people/ collectives who share the vision to create.
A bubble in space and time, a place to feel safe, far away from the
world’s craziness. A cocoon built for community-based self exploration and sharing.
ROOTS & ROUTES has been one of the greatest connectors that allowed me to enjoy amazing experiences around Europe, getting in contact and knowing personally a lot of young people and increasing my awarness about art and social issues.
Since I took part in my first ROOTS & ROUTES project, I have been more consciously engaged with dance and theatre than before. I have stayed in touch with some of the participants and met them in different parts of the world and feel part of an international community.
