At the annual general meeting of the ROOTS & ROUTES International Association (RRIA) in Marseille on Thursday (12 September), Janna Hadler, content lead at RRCGN, was elected as one of two RRIA Vice Presidents.

Congratulations from the whole RRCGN family!
… also to the new Presidents Sam Khebizi of Les Têtes de l’Art, to Susannah Iheme of Centro di Creazione e Cultura (dance coach and choreographer on two RRCGN projects so far), who also became Vice-Chair, and to all the other newly and re-elected Board members: Dainius Babilas, Jade Schiff, Andreas Almpanis, Irene Iap, Bori Bujdoso and Roxana Staicu!

RRCGN Executive Director Sascha Düx, who had been an RRIA board member since the international umbrella organisation was founded in Stockholm in 2008 and RRIA Treasurer since 2013, left the RRIA board: “It’s been 11 great years, but now it’s time for a new generation to take over!” – He will of course continue to work at RRCGN, and also remain active in the international network.

The general meeting took place docked to the international partner meeting in the project “DeTalks – Creative and Inclusive Non-Verbal Education”. DeTalks pilot projects combining artistic expression and language learning will start this autumn … stay tuned!

DeTalks is coordinated by Folkuniversitetet Lund and funded by Erasmus+.
