On April 11, 2022, the next round of the ROOTS & ROUTES Peer Coach Training will start: With an 11-day Peer Coach Academy at the premises of the Landesmusikakademie NRW in Heek-Nienborg. There is an intensive training program about leading groups and pedagogy, passing on artistic skills, and general conditions (law, finances, self-management) with professional lecturers. 20 to 24 young artists from the Cologne area can participate in the Academy free of charge. Those who successfully complete the supervised practice phase of 60 hours spent “in action” and come to the final reflection day will receive the ROOTS & ROUTES Peer Coach Certificate of the international ROOTS & ROUTES network. With an additional external first aid course one can also acquire a JuLeiCa – the german federal ID for volunteers in youth work.
