Which places in Cologne are important to you? Where do you like to hang out, where do you feel uncomfortable—and where could a creative touch actually be added? In the “ReStory” project, you can make the city your own space.

We at ROOTS & ROUTES Cologne e. V. (RRCGN) have launched the project “ReStory – Reclaiming Public Space through Participatory Narratives” in collaboration with international partners. Our goal: to reclaim public space together with young people and redesign it through artistic initiatives. But to do that, we need your input!

To ensure we address the real needs of Cologne’s residents, we need your expertise now.

We want to know which squares, parks, or street corners are meaningful to you. Based on the results of this survey, we’ll work with interested young people later in the project to create a real artistic intervention at a location in Cologne that you choose!

Anyone between the ages of 16 and 30 who lives in Cologne can participate!

  • The survey will only take about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Your responses will be analyzed anonymously.
  • If you’d like to not only vote but also get actively involved in the art project later on, you can voluntarily leave us your email address at the end of the survey 🙂

Let’s show together what matters to young people in Cologne. We look forward to your ideas and your perspective!

“ReStory” is an international project within the ROOTS & ROUTES network, coordinated by RRCGN and funded by the EU’s Erasmus+ Youth program. Together with partners from various countries, we are exploring how young people perceive public spaces and how they can actively help shape them through participatory storytelling and art.
