Young artists from the most different corners of Europe came together to create art from their ideas and wishes. Music, dance, media, drama and poetry were combined in a transdisciplinary way and in international exchange, a joint performance was created that opens up views of a possible Europe of the future.

The ROOTS & ROUTES Experience 2016 brings together young artists from all over Europe to discuss and unite their ideas and thoughts and to turn them into art. Perspectives from Germany, Greece, Lithuania, Lattvia, France, Italy, Turkey, the UK and the Netherlands get into dialogue. The project will connect music, dance, media, acting and poetry into a transdisciplinary performance giving a glimpse of a possible future Europe.
During the international preparation meeting in June 2016, the participants agreed on the topic “The choices you make have consequences”. Starting from July 18th, they will jointly create the performance “RE:CHOICE” at Heek Music Academy. A professional team of coaches headed by well-known artistic director and choreographer Youngung Sebastian Kim a.k.a. Jaekwon will guide them through the process.
On August 1st and 2nd, the results were presented at Alte Feuerwache Cologne.
