During these kinds of processes you really grow by participating in a creative climate, by having freedom and recognition and gaining awareness.

I used to dance with friends on the street and it was in 2006 when I found a flyer on the floor announcing a casting to participate in a creative residency in Barcelona. I went to my first ever casting and it worked.

Since then, after my first national experience, I started travelling for international ROOTS & ROUTES projects as a dancer and video artist. I discovered new ways of creating and learned that different disciplines can have a dialogue on stage to create a performance. I got to know many different countries, cultures, ways of thinking and doing … many people who became good friends and family.

I grew artistically and also personally, because during these kinds of processes you really grow by participating in a creative mood, by having freedom and recognition and gaining awareness. Each project is special and I remember each one.

Since my first ROOTS & ROUTES project, I decided to continue being active in this association. After years of participation, I became a board member at Rutes i Origens, the Spanish ROOTS & ROUTES partner, with the aim of promoting the network and giving opportunities to other young artists* like I had.

Later, I started working as a project manager at Rutes i Origens with the international partners* who saw me grow. Today, after ten years of experience, I work as a film and media producer with different companies and I’ m active in ROOTS & ROUTES at different levels, e.g. as part of the international board of directors representing the network as vice president.
