Josephine Stamer

Before 2011 I danced ballet for a long time, but more as a hobby. In the context of the first ROOTS & ROUTES projects, a new “dance landscape” opened up to me, I became interested in working with the knowledge of people of different dance styles and also tried out different dance styles myself. In the projects The ROOTS & ROUTES Experience 2011 and Eutropia I got an insight into professional art work and also how to communicate between different art fields, i.e. how to work interdisciplinary.

In the ROOTS & ROUTES Peer Coach Training 2014 I got a pedagogical insight which I would like to continue in the future. Since I participated in ROOTS & ROUTES projects, I know that I want to pursue an artistic career. Even now in my studies of Applied Theatre Studies in Giessen, I am concerned with the question of how different forms of movement and art can be connected and how one can play with them.

Besides all the projects, ROOTS & ROUTES is a large network of artists* from Germany and from countries all over Europe. I really enjoy the diversity of personalities and the different interests. I have made a lot of contacts, some of which have developed into good friendships.
