Our annual international Baltrum project, which brought together artistically active young people from all over Europe and professional artistic coaches for joint reflection and the development of a wide variety of interdisciplinary results, which were finally presented at a public show in Cologne.
The ROOTS & ROUTES Experience, RRXP for short, is an international art project in which creative people from various European countries come together in the summer to develop a complete stage play within two weeks.
From 24 to 30 June 2024, the first international “Each One Teach One (EOTO)” seminar took place in Larissa, Greece, bringing together a total of 22 participants (project coordinators, coaches, peer coaches) from 7 sending organisations from the international RRIA network to exchange ideas on artistic-educational methods and youth work.

The seminar on “International Network Development and Regeneration in Artistic Youthwork” (INDaRAY24) took place from February 26 to March 1, 2024 in Salzburg, Austria.
This year, our international encounter project on the North Sea island of Baltrum focused on the topic of sleep – what happens the moment we close our eyes? What do we see? What do we not see? What do we dream about? What do we let happen and at what cost? Who is actually in control?
40 young artists from 7 countries came together for 2 weeks in this year’s ROOTS & ROUTES Experience and developed a joint stage show based on the theme of chaos.
How can we manage to engage in an increasingly stressful world without falling into burnout? Self-Care and Community Care is the thematic field on which 40 young artists from 6 countries have been working together since November 2.
Because of Corona a whole year later than planned, the second Future Lab Young Europe started on November 1, 2021. 35 young artists from 6 countries lived and worked together for two weeks on the North Sea island of Baltrum. Here, a laboratory space was created for exchange, experimentation and innovation around the theme of “future”.
The ROOTS & ROUTES Experience has an international group of young artists develop an interdisciplinary stage show within two weeks. Working together, uniting their artistic fields and supported and coached by professional Artists.
