3.–9. April 2015

18 young artists in the fields of dance, music and media took part in the project “LevelUp! further training for peer coaches in cultural and media pedagogical youth work” that was running from 3rd to 9th April 2015. Here they learned from breakdance legend Niels “Storm” Robitzky how to creatively broaden other people’s movement repertoire; Melbeatz, awarded several times as best female German Hiphop producer, held a masterclass in beatproducing; and TV Total cameraman Jörg Schürmann revealed a bunch of his tricks.

Mamadee, who is famous for her appearances with the Gentleman band and Sisters Keepers, explained how she works with music against racism and discrimination; Cologne-based rap veteran Tatwaffe (Die Firma) performed a sweeping blow covering rhyming methods in rap music, planning of a video shooting and self-marketing for artists. Music producer Markus Brachtendorf, choreographer Sabine Lindlar and educational coach Andreas Kern specifically trained the participants for the coaching of younger peers in youth work and all-day-schooling.
