22nd until 31st of July 2025

The Peer Art Coach Academy Lithuania was a project in Kaunas, Lithuania, that brought together young artists aged 18 to 35 from the fields of dance, acting, and media art for a one-week training and mentoring program.

Under the guidance of international mentors Arnis Aleinikovas (theater), Conny Beißler (media), and Susannah Iheme (movement), the academy, organized by the Kaunas Cultural Center of Various Nations, combined a total of 60 hours of workshops with more than 60 hours of individual coaching practice.

Participants explored inclusive artistic practices, public speaking, emotional intelligence, and workshop facilitation. They developed and tested their own workshop ideas, learned conflict mediation, and completed a first aid course.

An essential part of the program was the development of independent workshop ideas. Participants designed and tested their concepts, applied what they had learned in practice, and received constructive feedback from both coaches and peers.

At the end of the program, participants had not only strengthened their artistic and leadership skills, but also established lasting international contacts. Graduates received a certificate co-signed by the Vytautas Magnus University Education Academy.

The academy empowered young artists to develop in their roles as coaches, mentors, and leaders—ready to inspire others through creativity, empathy, and self-confidence.
