The Migrated Body

The Migrated Body, a dance project that immerses participants in their own cultures for a week. During the summer holidays of 2025, young people up to the age of 18 were able to take part in a dance project with Ludmilla Schemak and Ekaterina Thor free of charge.

The project group will meet at OT Werkstattstraße (Nippes) and OT Vita (Müngersdorf) to develop a small urban dance theater piece, which will then be performed in front of a small audience in December.
Through various dance techniques and styles (waacking, waving, tracing, freestyle, and urban dance), storytelling, meditation, and theater techniques (viewpoint, Decroux,
commedia dell’arte, Russian biomechanics), participants engage in a
process of self-exploration and exploration of their own bodies, resulting in a stage play that is performed twice at the end of the workshop.
