Dance as you are! In the fall of 2021, young people between the ages of 14 and 18 can participate free of charge in a street dance and theater project with proven RRCGN instructors Elisa Giovannetti and Yasemin “Joya” Saat.

Sometimes in the OT Werkstattstraße (Nippes), sometimes in the OT Vita (Müngersdorf), the project group will meet and develop a small urban dance theater piece together, which will then be performed in December in front of a small audience.
Through various dance techniques and styles (waacking, waving, tracing, freestyle and urban dance), through storytelling and meditation, as well as through theater techniques (View Point, Decroux, Commedia dell’Arte, Russian Biomechanics), the participants come to an examination of themselves, of their own bodies; this results in a stage play, which is then performed twice.

“AkzepTanz” is a ROOTS & ROUTES Cologne e. V. project in cooperation with OT Werkstattstraße (evangelical church community Cologne-Nippes) and ZAIK – Zentrum für Austausch und Innovation Köln GbR, under the artistic direction of Yasemin “Joya” Saat and Elisa Giovannetti.
